Counter Strike Source and Team Fortress 2 are widely known as two of the best FPSes of all time. There is a reason for these and that is simply because they own, if you've not even tried any of these then I strongly suggest you buy them, fortunatly they are both very cheap and you can get both for the same price as other games.


The Orange Box
The Orange Box contains 5 games, the HL2 Series, Portal and Team Fortress 2, all of these games have been praised for their incredible graphics and amazing gameplay. Counter Strike: Source
Counter Strike: Source is a remake of the game Counter Strike 1.6. This game is (In my opinion) the best realistic FPS ever, it has everything you could ask for and after 4 years the game is still running strong with over 200000 (No, that is not an exaduration) servers being hosted. This game has a metascore of 88 from official reviewers but for user reviews it gets a 9.2 (out of 10) and the user reviewers are from 6464 people. What we will be doing
If we play Team Fortress 2 (which is what almost everyone has) then we can play Capture The Flag, Control Point or Goldrush (Coming soon) but that doesn't stop us from creating our own modes e.g. CTF but you can only use Melee weapons or just playing a mode with everyone playing as the same class. Trust me, it'll be great.

There is a game called Sourceforts, the concept of the game is to build forts and capture the other teams flags. The game is based on teamwork and cannot win on your own and the best thing is that it is absolutely free. Getting ready for the night

On the night I will send an announcement on Steam alerting everyone when the games are and what we are doing. Make sure you've put yourself into the LLC Steam User Group (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/livinglifecasually/).

If you're pro then you'll already be hooked up with the Teamspeak details so you know exactly what is going on but if you don't have the details then just contact me. IF YOU GIVE THE DETAILS TO ANYONE YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM ALL FUTURE STEAM NIGHTS AND IP BANNED FROM TEAMSPEAK.

You don't nessesarily have to have Teamspeak as we can just use the free inbuilt voice chat in any of the steam games so you can talk to your team or just talk to everyone.

How do I shot join?

Hamachi is a program that allows us to create a virtual LAN so we can connect to each other, it is quite complicated to configure and so I will be forced to create a server each week, just for you.

Since we will be using Hamachi you will have to join our Hamachi server.

On the night

As I said before I will send out a message to everyone on Steam alerting when to play. Granted everyone is everyone is on Teamspeak and everyone has joined the conversation on Steam to say they are ready then we will begin. To start off with we will be playing a Counter Strike: Source game from 8:00pm to 8:30pm and then we will switch to TF2 for an hour. I've created a timetable that we will run through and it'll be awesome.

8PM - TF2 (Main event will be called Uber Rush)
9PM - CS:S (Surfing for half an hour and shooting for the other half)

13th of May

8PM - Sourceforts (Main event is the game itself)

20th of May

8PM - TF2 (More on this later)

*The reason I always put TF2 first is because it requires a lot of players to be on at the same time to be enjoyable, CS:S doesn't as you can have 6 and it'll be fun.*

If you haven't yet played TF2 but are interested in it then you are in luck because Valve are running a freeplay weekend from May 2nd to the the 4th during which you can download and play the full game online. Once you've installed the game and the weekend is over you can buy the game right away and play without having to download anything extra.

So you might aswell give it a go, seeing as it is free!

Hitman Fist 2 begins after Steam Night this Tuesday.




Hitman Fist is a competition to see who is the best Spy. The aim of the game is to backstab a selected member of the forum, sounds easy? LOL WRONG.
One you've backstabbed the selected person you'll be given another target with you also have to backstab. Sounds strange? Think of it like this:

When you've backstabbed that person you must take a screen of it (ethier by pressing F5 and uploading it or using Xfire's built in uploader) and PM it to me.
We can do the taunt thing again but there won't be a prize for it. (You must taunt their dead body after backstabbing them)

You can post if you were knocked out which makes the game harder for everyone. You could ethier be a true spy and betray the ones who trusted you or you could work as a team and get to the top helping each other.

I am expecting atleast one PM every 4 days. If you've not been on TF2 in the last 4 days of the competition then you are disqualified. If you just happen to have backstabbed the person before and you've given me that screen then you'll also be disqualified, do not try to do this because you will be owned if you do.

Yes I knew you were at an expo? I had been waiting for my target to come online at the same time as me however when he hadn't and Sonic reminded me to play. I played with Afro and MEC on saturaday. Yes obviously city telling me that you are after me has made it harder for you but then it was bound to. That doesn't mean that I won't play with you, just means I'll be more cautious. I want to at least have a chance of stabbing my target before you get me.

The first game was very boring to watch, infact it was extremely boring to watch and for this I'll blame City who just sat in one spot for atleast four of the five minutes per round.

The second match was luckily better though, City was forced to move around as Afrocat planted the bomb, Afrocat won the first 3 rounds with ease but City came back with a ridiculous come back winning 5 games in a row!

If Leper is being forfeited it would mess up the tournament to have you play NBoy. It will mean someone else will end up sitting out for round 2. I'd say it would be easier to just put you through, but it's all down to Sonic.
